Abstract

This article was prepared from the conference that the author gave at the opening of ANIMA UDESC - Internacional Seminar of Studies in the Arts of Puppetry - Online Edition, on May 21, 2021. The conference had as its theme Training experiences in cyberspace and creative processes in social isolation, and addressed aspects of the link between Puppet Theater and the pandemic, and reflections based on the author's work with her students in the first six months of the pandemic.

Author Biographies

Cariad Astles, University of Exeter

Cariad Astles trabalhou na University of Plymouth por muitos anos e trabalha na Universidade de Exeter como professora do Departamento de Teatro. Além de teatro de bonecos e objetos, ensina dramaturgia aplicada, com um foco particular em saúde, desempenho latino-americano e cultura em performance. Atualmente é diretora do CROPP – o Centro de Pesquisas em Objetos e Marionetes em Performance.

Mário Piragibe, Universidade Federal de Uberlândia

Mário Piragibe é Doutor em Artes Cênicas pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2011), obtendo o grau de mestre em Teatro (2007) e de bacharel em Artes Cênicas com habilitação em Teoria do Teatro (1999) pela mesma instituição. Ator e professor de teatro, é Professor Efetivo do Curso de Teatro do Instituto de Artes (IARTE) da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU. Sua pesquisa aborda interfaces da linguagem do teatro de animação com poéticas contemporâneas e lida com as interfaces entre o teatro e as novas tecnologias.
