About the Journal

Focus and Scope

ModaPalavra e-periodical is a publication from Professional in Clothing Design and Fashion Graduate Program (PCDFGP), by the Arts, Design & Fashion College (CEART), at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC). Its aim is to widely and freely disseminate national and international scientific research related to the field of Fashion, understood at the intersection with various areas of knowledge, such as Human Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Literature, Linguistics and Arts, Architecture, Urbanism, and Design.

The journal's focus is to disseminate excellent articles, thematic dossiers, reviews, interviews, and translations that significantly contribute to the scientific consolidation of the Fashion field in Brazil and abroad. These are developed by researchers, professors, and graduate students who are identified with the central theme of the periodical: Fashion in its sociocultural, historical, educational, artistic, communicational, technological, economic, urban, and design-related developments.

In its editorial policy, ModaPalavra e-periodical prioritizes publication of original and unpublished manuscripts, being a member of Crossref Similarity Check, as well as transparency, respect, and confidentiality of information. The editorial policy also includes the republication or translation of fundamental texts for the Fashion field, aiming to provide important bibliographic research sources for use in undergraduate and graduate courses.
