Ten years of Valentina free software

Na oferta de softwares para a modelagem digital de vestuário, dominada por soluções caras e voltadas à grande indústria, o software livre Valentina (Fig. 1) se apresenta como uma alternativa de distribuição gratuita e código aberto para as pequenas empresas e designers independentes. O software utiliza modelagem paramétrica na construção dos moldes digitais, característica herdada dos métodos tradicionais de modelagem. No Brasil, o software tem ganhado visibilidade desde 2020 com a publicação de conteúdo em português e a criação de grupos em redes sociais. Nesta entrevista com Roman Telezhynskyi, desenvolvedor do Valentina, indagamos pelas relações entre política e tecnologia, as formas de participação da comunidade, os maiores desafios assumidos ao longo dos dez anos de existência do software e a visão de futuro do projeto.
