Viewpoints y cognición: Enfoque suave e integración multisensorial

Resumen

La formación de Viewpoints ha sido una herramienta para la improvisación y composición de danza y teatro. Se teoriza que Viewpoints desarrolla los sentidos para responder rápidamente a los estímulos circundantes, resalta la atención, mejora la sensación de vitalidad en el escenario, desarrolla la conciencia y la dinámica de grupo. Se utilizaron conceptos de la psicología cognitiva para comprender los procesos que pueden tener lugar durante el entrenamiento. Se sugiere que puede ocurrir un tipo de "sinestesia" y aumentar la interacción entre los sentidos. Se aplicó un cuasi experimento para investigar los procesos cognitivos y perceptivos involucrados. Los resultados revelan un impacto positivo en la sincronía y la cohesión del grupo.

Doutorado pelo Programa de Pos-Graduação em Artes Cenicas na Universidade Federal da Bahia (PPGAC/UFBA), bolsista CAPES (2006-2009). Mestrado em Artes Cênicas pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2005). Especialização em Dança Cênica pela Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (2000). Graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Dança pelo Centro Universitário da Cidade-UniverCidade/RJ (1999). Professora Adjunta na Escola de Dança/Programa de Pos-Graduação em Dança na Universidade Federal da Bahia.

Catherine J. Stevens, Western Sydney University

La psicóloga cognitiva Catherine Stevens investiga los procesos psicológicos para crear, percibir e interpretar música y danza, y aplica métodos experimentales para evaluar sistemas complejos y la interacción humano-computadora. Tiene una licenciatura (con honores) y un doctorado de la Universidad de Sydney. Kate es profesora de psicología y directora de investigación y participación en el Instituto MARCS para el cerebro, el comportamiento y el desarrollo de la Universidad de Western Sydney (http://marcs.uws.edu.au/).
