Abstract

Resumo: O artigo apresenta a estética e as principais características do discurso e da voz do Teatro de Sombras Grego Moderno de Karaghiozis, concentrando-se principalmente no repertório cômico. O período de referência é o ano do seu pico, entre 1890 e 1960. O artigo argumenta que o discurso e a voz eram os principais meios de expressão. O bonequeiro de Teatro de Sombras, escondido atrás da tela, usava principalmente sinais linguísticos para animar os bonecos bidimensionais e narrar a história.

Thomas A. Agrafiotis, Universidade Aristóteles de Salonica (Grécia)

Thomas A. Agrafiotis nasceu em Kozani no ano de 1976. Ele foi professor do módulo “A Arte do Teatro de Sombras Grego como meios de educação infantil” no Departamento da Educação Pré-Escolar, School of Education, Universidade da Macedônia Ocidental, durante os anos acadêmicos de 2009 a 2011. É bonequeiro e professor, assim como membro eleito do Conselho Artístico da Associação Nacional de Teatro de Sombras. Ele conduziu sua tese de doutorado na Aristotle University of Thessaloniki na dimensão educacional do Karaghiozis e seu uso na Educação Primária.

Ioanna Papageorgiou, Universidade de Patras (Grécia)

Ioanna Papaegeorgiou é Professora Assistente do Departamento de Estudos Teatrais, na Universidade de Patras. Ela completou seu Ph.D. em Drama na Goldsmiths College, Universidade de Londres, intitulada: As Origens do Fenômeno Estelar: Estrelas e seus Sistemas Estrelados no Teatro Britânico do Século Dezoito (e Origins of the Star Phenomenon: Stars and the Starring System in the Eighteenth-Century British eatre). Ela foi a principal investigadora no projeto e Repertory of Greek Shadow eatre, em Patras, durante o período entre-guerras (1922-1940), fundado pelo Comitê de Pesquisa da Universidade de Patras.
