Focus and Scope
The Revista de Ensino em Artes, Moda e Design is an interinstitutional initiative of graduate programs from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (Udesc), the Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE), the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), and the Associação Brasileira de Estudos e Pesquisas em Moda (Abepem).
Committed to the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of higher education, particularly in the training of professionals and educators in Arts, Fashion, and Design, the journal aims to share with the academic world, through original works, the most diverse investigations within higher education. It fosters dialogue between practices and theories applied to the training of professionals in these fields.
Through the works published in this journal, it is presumed to bridge diverse teaching realities and explore in depth theoretical possibilities applied to educational experimentation. In this way, professors and researchers can give visibility to their work and activities, engaging in dialogue with the central theme of the journal.
The journal is organized into two sections: "Dossier" and another titled "Aberturas Transversais" (Transversal Openings). We accept articles in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, and Italian. If an article in a foreign language is approved, it must include an expanded abstract in Portuguese.
The themes of the two annual dossiers are defined one year in advance, and their organization is entrusted to specialists in the respective topics. For the "Aberturas Transversais" section, texts may be submitted in the form of: a) articles, b) experience reports, c) interviews with educators and/or theorists, and d) book reviews.
Each year, a special edition is published featuring presenters of oral communications and conferences from the Colóquio Nacional de Moda and the Fórum de Escolas de Moda, selected by the coordinators of the working groups and the editors of this journal.
