Abstract

Interview with São Paulo artist Mauricio Parra, born in 1976, about traditional support preparations for oil painting, using rabbit skin glue, Gilders Clay Base and plaster of Paris. The interview, carried out online in August 2023, went beyond the pre-defined questions, better detailing the artist's journey, with the first contact via Instagram, followed by Whatsapp, then transcribed by the Author. The information collected constituted a database to support the teaching internship of the Author of this article. To illustrate and complement the understanding of the data collected from the interview, the video indexed on the YouTube channel, prepared by Camilla Loreta, was used as a teaching resource. In the video, you can see the Artist step by step in preparing the wooden supports for his paintings.

Jociele Lampert, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina

Professora Titular na Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina - UDESC. Desenvolveu pesquisa como professora pesquisadora visitante no Teachers College na Columbia University na cidade de New York como Bolsista Fulbright (2013), onde realizou estudo intitulado: ARTIST'S DIARY AND PROFESSOR'S DIARY: ROAMINGS ABOUT PAINTING EDUCATION. Professora Investigadora Visitante na Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa - Portugal e CIEBA/ULisboa, com Bolsa para Cooperação Internacional do CNPq (2023). Doutora em Artes Visuais pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP (2009); Mestre em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2005). Possui Graduação em Desenho e Plástica Bacharelado em Pintura, pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2002) e Licenciatura também pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2003). Atua no Mestrado e Doutorado em Artes Visuais Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Visuais da UDESC, como orientadora na Linha de Pesquisa de Ensino das Artes Visuais e na Graduação em Artes Visuais Departamento de Artes Visuais da UDESC.
