Thematic Issue: Bodies that write

For this thematic dossier the Urdimento - Magazine of Studies in Performing Arts - will receive articles until: September 20, 2024. These articles will be published in Urdimento, v.4, n. 53, December 2024. 

The proponent Editorial Committee of this thematic dossier is composed of the following professors: Jean Carlos Gonçalves, Universidade Federal do Paraná (coordenador); Adrianne Ogêda, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro; Lucia Maria Salgado dos Santos Lombardi, Universidade Federal de São Carlos; Hosana Celeste Oliveira, Universidade Federal do Pará; Caroline Ribeiro Paz, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande.

Dossier proposal

The dossier seeks to discuss current and urgent issues belonging to the universe of the relations between body and writing in the contemporary scene, considering different contexts, prisms, and perspectives of investigation and construction of knowledge. Based on research carried out in different theoretical-methodological fields, the aim is to encourage the submission of texts that offer, among articulations and possible convergences, not only answers but questions that are pertinent to the demands and potentialities of the theme in its relationship with research in the performing arts, having the writing that permeates and is done by the body, in the body, and with the body as a unifying topic.

To this end, works can be combined with the following themes:

  • Body, writing, and ethnic-racial relations in performing arts;
  • Body, text, and discourse in the performing arts;
  • Body and dramaturgy;
  • Body, scene, and literature;
  • Body, writing, and the scene in gender and sexuality;
  • Body and writing in the pedagogy of performing arts;
  • Body and autofiction in the contemporary scene;
  • Body and cultural and popular scenic narratives;
  • Body, writing, and performance;
  • Body, writing, and theatricality.

In addition to articles, the dossier will contemplate submissions in the following formats: reports, debates, dramaturgy.

All articles sent are evaluated in the double blind system (peer review); and publication will take place after its approval by two/two ad hoc reviewers.

To publish in Urdimento n.53 the interested party must first register as an author in the link: http://www.revistas.udesc.br/index.php/urdimento/user/register
