Abstract

The article reflects on the practices with object theater of the Indian Company Tram Arts Trust, their learning and the search to find their artistic identity. Thus, the text dialogues with the creative processes and knowledge arising from these practices.

Author Biographies

Choiti Ghosh

Em 1998, aos 18 anos, iniciou sua carreira profissional em teatro com sua companhia Anant, especializada em teatro infantil. De 1999 a 2003, trabalhou simultaneamente no campo da educação alternativa com o conhecido Prof. A.K. Jalaluddin. Em 2004, Choiti foi iniciada em bonecos com o Katkatha Puppet Arts Trust, de Anurupa Roy, grupo o qual ainda atua como marionetista, escritora e cantora. Em 2010, estudou com a artista belga Agnes Limbos no Instituto Internacional de la Marionnette, em Charleville Mezieres, França. Em 2011, ela criou o Tram Theatre (atualmente Tram Arts Trust) com colegas, com o objetivo de se especializar em teatro de objetos na Índia. Choiti foi pesquisadora em residência no Deutsches Forum fur Figurentheatre und Puppenspeilkunst (DFP) em Bochum, Alemanha (2012), e no Institut International de la Marionnette, Charleville Mezieres, França (2015).
