RELAÇÕES DE GÊNERO, SEXUALIDADE E AIDS: APONTAMENTOS PARA REFLEXÃO <br> HUMAN GENDER, SEXUALITY AND AIDS: NOTES FOR REFLECTION

Resumo

Vivemos atualmente uma epidemia de Aids, que vem crescendo ao longo dos anos. Diante dessa problemática, os diversos profissionais que trabalham com prevenção, buscam alternativas de ação visando atingir tanto portadores quanto a população que corre risco de se contaminar pelo HIV. Este estudo tem o objetivo de sistematizar um referencial teórico, com base em pesquisas e conhecimentos já existentes, de maneira a buscar elementos para reflexão sobre a questão da Aids e sua relação com a questão de gênero. O estudo realizado aponta para o fato de que, cada vez mais, a Aids parece se tornar uma questão de educação escolar. Considera, então, que as atividades preventivas, nesse contexto, terão maior eficácia se inseridas em programas de Orientação Sexual que possibilitem aos adolescentes vivenciar um verdadeiro processo educativo nas questões relacionadas à sexualidade humana, às relações de gênero e à Aids.

Abstract: Nowadays we see an AIDS epidemic which has been growing along the years. It is known that the adolescents represent a group of high vulnerability to HIV. Facing that problem, several professionals who work with the illness prevention search alternative actions, trying to reach that populational segment. This study aims to systematize a theoretical reference, based on pre-existent research and knowledge, so as to obtain elements for the consideration about the issue of education and AIDS prevention. The study points out to the fact that, more and more, AIDS seems to be a question of school education. It is then considered that the prevention activities in that context will be more efficient if included in a Program of Sexual Advice, which allows the adolescents to live a true educational process in the issues related to human sexuality, human gender and AIDS.
