Abstract

Através da analogia entre o duplo e a questão do sonho, no qual Sigmund Freud relaciona com o indômito e o incônscio, no presente artigo potencializa-se a modernidade do século XIX com pinturas de Djanira Motta e Silva, Franklin Cascaes e Remédios Varo. Assinalando a criação artística como imagem, o sonho se desdobra como problemática rela- cionada às relações entre familiar e estranho, imagem e linguagem, figura e figurabilidade.
