Abstract

This text proposes to investigate, in the work of Paul Valéry, the conception of a philosophy of the creative gesture, or, more precisely, to understand how –through the movements that produce human sensibility, from its general characterization as an unconscious response or reaction to that in which consciousness, in an elevated condition of wakefulness, develops the capacity to compose complex actions, according to the author’s understanding– the creative aesthetic conduct takes place in his thought. To this end, the analysis of part of the work Cours de Poétique is intended, especially of the first lessons contained in the first volume, referring to the period from 1937 to 1940. In this way, an attempt will be made to glimpse and delineate the thought of creation according to Valéry’s assumptions and precepts.

Author Biographies

Letícia Testa, UERJ

Possui graduação e mestrado em Filosofia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Cursou Letras Italiano, também por essa universidade (incompleto), e Letras Francês pela UFRGS (incompleto), onde desenvolveu atividades de pesquisa e prática docente no ensino de francês como língua estrangeira (FLE), integrando o projeto PIBID-Francês/UFRGS. Foi parecerista ad hoc do Ministério da Cultura (Nível III), nas áreas de artes cênicas e humanidades (2010-2012), e editora do Suplemento Cultural BRASIL (Feedbr100), do jornal cultural português editado na Região Autônoma dos Açores (2010-2012). Integrou, entre 2011 e 2012, o Núcleo UFRGS do projeto Escrileituras: um modo de ler-escrever em meio à vida, coordenado pela Profa. Dra. Sandra Mara Corazza e vinculado ao Programa Observatório da Educação CAPES/INEP, desenvolvendo pesquisa junto ao projeto e, entre outras atividades, ministrando o curso de extensão Exercícios do Informe em Educação, Literatura, Cinema, Performance. Foi professora de francês no Instituto Gastronômico das Américas (IGA), no Brasil, e no Senac/RS. Atuou como bailarina profissional, participando de diversos festivais e residências artísticas, como Danças na Cidade (atualmente Alkantara), em Portugal, onde realizou formação com Meg Stuart, Boris Charmatz, Xavier Le Roy, entre outros. Integrou o Grupo Cena 11 Cia. de Dança. É especialista em Literatura, Artes e Filosofia pela PUC/RS. Atualmente, integra o Grupo de Pesquisa POÏEIN: Microscopias. Educação. Imanência (CNPq/FACED-UFRGS), como pesquisadora colaboradora; cursa a Especialização em Artes (EaD) pela UFPEL e o Mestrado em Educação Filosófica com Infâncias pela UERJ.

Professor Adjunto no Departamento de Ensino e Currículo - DEC da Faculdade de Educação - FACED-UFRGS e Professor permanente no Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação - PPGEDU-UFRGS. Doutor em Educação pela UFRGS. Mestre em Literatura (Teoria literária) e Licenciado em Ciências Sociais pela UFSC. É Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa POÏEIN - Microscopias. Educação. Imanência; coordena o Grupo de Estudos AtEdPo- Ateliê de Educação Potencial. Realizou estágio pós-doutoral em Educação na FACED-UFRGS em 2014 e 2015 com Bolsa PDJ do CNPQ e supervisão da Profa. Dra. Sandra Mara Corazza. Atualmente coordena o Projeto de Pesquisa ''O exercício da prosa docente: espécies de espaços de uma docência-pesquisa acontecimento'' (2023-2026), com AUXPE - Move La América - CAPES entre nov-2024 a dez-2025.
