Abstract

This article discusses a teaching experience carried out during the course Internship in Visual Arts IV by the academic of the Degree in Visual Arts at the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS), Darlan Gebing Scheid, in the second half of 2021. The work was developed in a social project called Escola Popular de Artes carried out by Escola Tem Gente Teatrando, in Caxias do Sul – RS. During the semester, the group of students participating in the project was proposed to carry out a Cartography of the Self, proposing that the adolescents look at themselves, at the collective and at the place where they live so that they could create from these elements.

Author Biographies

Darlan Gebing Scheid, Universidade de Caxias do Sul

Actor, performance. Graduating in Degree in Visual Arts - UCS. Currently a PIBIC/CNPq Scholar (2021-2022), member of the Research Group on Education, Philosophy and Multiplicity in Contemporaneity (CNPq Group) and of the Difference Study Group (PPGedu/UCS). He still works in the cultural area and is a member of the Municipal Cultural Policy Council of Caxias do Sul-RS, being the holder of the Performing Arts and composing the Management Board 2021. He participated as a Scientific Initiation Scholarship (PIBIC/UCS 2020-2021), PIBID/UCS Scholarship 2018-2020, Prouni and Pronatec Student.

Mara Aparecida Magero Galvani, Universidade de Caxias do Sul

Doctor in Letters UCS/UniRitter (2018), Master in Education UFRGS (2005), Specialist in Art Teaching UCS (2001) and Degree in Art Education Qualification in Visual Arts UCS (1997). Professor of the Knowledge Area of ​​Arts and Architecture at UCS, working in subjects related to design and creation processes. Coordinator of Specializations in Visual Arts (2013 and 2019 editions), of Course Completion Works (TCCs) in Visual Arts (Bachelor and Degree), of the Art Languages ​​Program (PLA), of the Engraving Club and the UCS Show Project Campus 8. Member of the Structuring Teaching Nucleus (NDE) of the Visual Arts, Fashion and Interior Design Courses. Poet and visual artist, with participation in exhibitions and art projects in Brazil and abroad. Her production, with an emphasis on drawing, collage, engraving and photography, is the result of research linked to women's issues and concepts such as time, place, space, memory and identity.
