Caracterização dos beneficiários do núcleo Ido PETI de Morro da Fumaça-SC<br>Characterization of the beneficiaries from the first center of PETI in Morro da Fumaça-SC

Resumo

Neste artigo fazem-se considerações referentes ao trabalho infantil, pontuando-se diversos itens sobre a temática. Foram descritas as leis e iniciativas de combate ao trabalho infantil, com ênfase ao Programa de Erradicação do Trabalho Infantil - PETI. Foi feito um estudo descritivo-exploratório com 108 crianças adolescentes do Núcleo I do PETI de Morro da Fumaça, localizado no bairro Menino Jesus, por estarem inseridos em uma região onde se concentra um grande número de olarias.  Abordaram-se, também, aspectos referentes ao  PETI, falando dos contextos do mesmo em âmbito municipal, além de outros itens concernentes ao Programa no município em questão. Conclui-se apresentando resultados obtidos pela pesquisa.

Abstract: This paper addresses child labor issues and discusses several aspects related to this topic. It describes some laws and initiatives against child labor, with emphasis on the program for eradication of child labor – PETI. An exploratory-descriptive study was carried out, counting with the participation of 108 children and teenagers from the first Center of PETI in Morro da Fumaça, which is located in the Menino de Jesus neighborhood. These children and teenagers were chosen due to the fact that they live in a region where there are a great number of brick factories. This research also deals with some issues regarding the contexts of PETI, in terms of its municipal scope, in addition to other municipal Program issues.  This paper concludes by presenting the results obtained in the research.
