Abstract

A palavra APOTHEKE tem origem grega. O substantivo apotheke, designava armazéns do Porto de Atenas na Grécia Clássica; também de origem germânica, indica a origem da palavra botica, boticário ou farmácia. A escolha por esta nomenclatura, ao Grupo de Estudos Estúdio de Pintura Apotheke, decorre da percepção da botica como um lugar de laboratório, de um labor experimental, o que se aproxima da proposta de um Ateliê. A pintura apresenta-se como eixo norteador para o processo artístico deste Grupo de Estudos, considerando o campo ampliado e possíveis desdobramentos para o pensamento plástico pictórico.
