Call for publication in the Thematic Dossier Educational Turn and its developments in the field of art: critiques, revisions and proposals

The Apotheke Journal (ISSN 2447-1267), a publication linked to the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the State University of Santa Catarina (PPGAV/UDESC), is dedicated to publishing original works in the field of Visual Arts and its connections with teaching and learning. For the second issue of 2025, the journal invites researchers, educators, artists, and professionals from various fields to submit original articles, essays, visual essays, interviews, translations, and experience reports on the theme:
"The Educational Turn and Its Developments in the Art Field: Criticism, Revisions, and Proposals."

For this Apotheke Journal dossier edition, with the call titled:
"The Educational Turn and Its Developments in the Art Field: Criticism, Revisions, and Proposals – Other Ways of Thinking Knowledge in Art and Education,"
we seek proposals that address the intersection between art production and educational intervention. Relevant contributions may include projects on collaborative and relational art or those focusing on the intersection of art production, curation, and mediation. Articles on topics such as art and community, art and the environment, shared authorship, and studies on the critical positioning of coloniality and the treatment of Indigenous art are also welcome. All these aspects can help us question new ways of seeing, making, and intertwining art and education.

Submissions in Portuguese, English, and Spanish are welcome.

Submission deadline: June 2025 (must follow the guidelines of the Apotheke Journal: https://revistas.udesc.br/index.php/apotheke/about/submissions).
