Call for publication in the Thematic Dossier Rethinking John Dewey: Art, Experience and Democracy Nowadays
John Dewey was a prolific philosopher and an active public intellectual. Considered by many to be the most important thinker in the 20th-century American tradition, Dewey wrote and lectured on a wide range of subjects, tackling complex and diverse themes such as art, nature, experience, education, and democracy.
To this date, his works exert considerable influence. Being celebrated and debated in various parts of the world, as well as read by philosophers, artists, educators, and the general public, his work has spanned time and invited new generations to study, understand, and update their ideas.
The following call from the Apotheke Journal (ISSN 2447-1267) seeks submissions of papers that rethink the concepts of Dewey's philosophy as well as establishing new dialogues and interpretations from the present. This dossier is an invitation to keep celebrating the thinker's work, establishing new links and ways of thinking that unite the past and the present, the theoretical and the practical, art and life.
Applications will be accepted in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
