Abstract

What can be usefully said about tradition and innovation? This paper questions whether these terms are really the most useful in setting them up as opposing approaches.

    Course Leader for the BA Theatre Practice (Puppetry: Design and Performance) at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London and is also Lecturer in Drama at the University of Exeter, UK. She is director of the research group CROPP (Centre for Research into Puppets and Objects in Performance) and President of the UNIMA Research Commission. United Kingdom
