atingido por ela deixa de ser um indivíduo autêntico, deixa de ser um ser humano”
(Copeau, 2013, p.94).
Esse quadro de valores desenhado por figuras como Stanislavski, Copeau,
entre outros, contribui para formar a cultura dominante do ator que se manifesta
em nosso dia-a-dia, “tanto pelos valores imperativos que devemos estar sempre
buscando em nosso trabalho, quanto pelos adjetivos que tentam nos definir como
‘os atores são muito preguiçosos’, ‘arrogantes’, ‘vaidosos’, ‘caprichosos’, ‘falsos’”
(Fortes, 2018, p. 175). Por isso me parece necessário propor outras imagens, outros
adjetivos, outras escolhas valorativas que não aquelas que a cultura dominante
atribui ao ator como sendo sua própria natureza, natureza da qual o ator estaria
sempre se afastando, e por isso caberia aos diretores e professores de atuação
trazê-lo de volta a ela. É neste sentido que Stanislavski (1996, 315), preocupado
com o fato de o ator perder seu dom natural ao subir no palco, afirma que seu
“sistema deve restabelecer as leis naturais” e “devolvê-lo ao estado criativo de um
ser humano normal”. Da mesma forma, Copeau (2013, p.94) afirma que, “para
reencontrar essa simplicidade”, não se deve simplesmente ensinar aos atores em
formação novas técnicas, mas ensinar-lhes “a viver e a sentir, mudando seu
caráter, tornando-os seres humanos. Que o ator volte a ser um ser humano, e
todas as grandes transformações no teatro decorrerão daí”.
Esses valores acabam por determinar também o lugar e a função que o ator
ocupa na prática teatral e no modo como se relaciona, em um processo criativo,
com as outras funções aí envolvidas.
Com o
método das ações físicas
, Stanislavski parece ter conseguido
determinar ontologicamente o teatro enquanto
lugar onde se age
. Se,
por um lado, isto implica numa valorização da figura do ator que é
colocado enquanto cerne da atividade teatral, por outro, há uma
manutenção das fronteiras nas quais a ação aparece como função do
ator, o

(concepção e escolhas) como função do diretor e o dizer
Na conclusão de seu livro sobre a fase final de Stanislavski, Toporkov (1998, p. 215) pondera que, enquanto
a música pode ser definida pelo som e a pintura pela cor, cada artista de teatro definiria nossa arte de modo
distinto, e dificilmente alguém daria como resposta “aquela que já é sabida há mil anos como a verdade
inquestionável: Ação é o elemento chave de nossa arte – ‘ação genuína, orgânica, produtiva e expediente’,
como Stanislavski tão frequentemente insistia”. Ao definir a pintura pela cor, o artista plástico acaba sendo
definido pela sua habilidade de trabalhar fisicamente este material, ou qualquer outro. Ignora-se, assim, a
grande revolução que Duchamp realizou na arte: ao comprar um objeto pronto (readymade) no mercado e
colocá-lo no museu, ele realiza um deslocamento ontológico no qual o artista não mais é definido por sua
capacidade de fazer ou agir, mas por sua capacidade de escolher ou decidir.
