LIVRO DIDÁTICO DE HISTÓRIA COMO DOCUMENTO HISTÓRICO: uma análise do Projeto Araribá<em>DIDACTIC HISTORY BOOK AS A HISTORICAL DOCUMENT: an analysis of the Araribá project</em>

Resumo

O presente trabalho é resultado de pesquisa realizada no ano de 2008, que teve como objetivo analisar as práticas de leitura – de professores e alunos – do livro didático Projeto Araribá: história. O trabalho foi fundamentado nos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da história da leitura e, sob este enfoque, propõe-se refletir sobre a história da leitura do livro didático considerado como documento histórico. Neste sentido, são apresentados os pressupostos e a definição conceitual de livro didático que nortearam a pesquisa, bem como os aspectos levantados durante a análise desse material, a saber: o livro didático enquanto mercadoria, os protocolos de leitura do autor e editor que definem um tipo de leitura autorizada e, por fim, indícios da apropriação do livro pelo professor.

Abstract
The present study is the result of the research conducted in 2008, which had the purpose of analyzing the practices of reading – of teachers and students – of the didactic book Projeto Araribá: história (Araribá Project: history). The study was based on theoretical-methodological assumptions of the history of reading and, under this focus, proposes to reflect on the history of reading a didactic book considered as a historical document. In this sense, the theoretical-methodological assumptions and the conceptual definition of the didactic book that guided the research are presented, as well as the aspects raised during the analysis of this material, namely: the didactic book as merchandise, the protocols of reading by the author and editor who define a type of authorized reading and, finally, evidence of the appropriation of the book by the teacher.
